This statute includes rules on home sharing and short-term rentals, and may vary depending on the type of accommodation you offer.

Registration Obligations

Since August 1, 2023, hosts offering short-term rentals must obtain a registration number and display it on their listing.

To comply:

  • Obtain a registration number from the City of Esslingen am Neckar by registering your rental activity before hosting for the first time. You can apply online through the city portal.

  • Enter the registration number on your OH-Stay.com listing:

    • Go to Listings and select the listing.

    • Navigate to Policies and rules and scroll to Laws and regulations.

    • Click Edit next to Regulations.

    • Under Add a permit number, click Add and enter your registration number.
